No corporate backing. No safety net. Just bands, crews, staff, and a room that keeps showing up.
Running a venue right now is hard.
Business rates, utilities, staffing, production, and VAT all stack up fast, and none of that disappears just because a show is small, risky, or new.

We still believe those shows matter.

What Is Sponsor a Gig?
Sponsor a Gig is a way to throw some support behind the venue itself.
It’s for people who:

• Care about grassroots music

• Want venues like this to survive

• Can’t always make it to shows, but love what we do and want to back the idea anyway.

Your donation helps keep the infrastructure alive - sound, lights, staff, artists, doors open, so gigs can keep happening at all.

This is a donation. Nothing more, nothing less.

• You’re not buying a ticket

• You’re not getting entry to a show

• You’re not getting perks, discounts, or access

• This is not a membership or subscription

You’re backing the venue and the live music ecosystem it supports. That’s it.

Why We’re Asking
Ticket prices stay low because they have to, but the costs don’t. Before a single band gets paid, VAT is taken.
Before sound, lighting, staffing, or utilities are covered, VAT is taken. Donations help cover the gap between what gigs cost and what people can

realistically pay especially at grassroots level.

What Your Donation Supports
This isn’t tied to a specific gig or date.
Your support goes towards:

• Keeping the venue running

• Paying artists and crew

• Covering production, staffing, and overheads

• Making sure there’s still a place for new bands to play

If a show changes, moves, or doesn’t go ahead, your donation still does its job: keeping live music alive.
