DRUM MASTERCLASS

"Jonathan Davies in association with the national plan for music in Wales, proudly presents a drum masterclass with Ash Green and Tom Connelly. The event is open for anyone with interest in drums, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro. It’ll be a chance to watch two immense powerhouse, modern rock drummers perform tracks, talk about touring and recording with bands and Q & A.

About the Drummers:

Ashley Green is the drummer for Cardiff based rock band, Holding absence. The band have enjoyed an American tour recently. Holding Absence have graced the stages at world-renowned venues such as Palladium (Brussels, with Pierce the veil) and at Wales’ very own, Utilita arena. This year's summer schedule means Holding Absence have been announced to play at UK Rock festival, Download, Full Force festival (Germany), Slam Dunk festival (France) and Louder than life festival (US) alongside rock legends such as Slipknot, Pantera and Five finger Death punch. Ash is proudly endorsed by Natal Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Kickblock, Remo percussion and Snareweight.

Tom Connelly is a Freelance drummer and Teacher from South Wales. He is currently touring with Welsh rockers, Dream State. Tom has played at huge arenas such as Utility Arena in Cardiff with Dream State, supporting Funeral for a friend and has gone as far as playing around Europe with them. This year sees the band on the same line-up as Holding Absence at Download festival alongside the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Avenged Sevenfold and Fall out Boy. Tom will be heading off on a Headline tour around the UK with DS. Outside of DS, Tom freelances with various artists and genres which include recording drums for Gav Burrough (Funeral for a friend).
