About the event
Prepare to be captivated by the high energy and feisty sounds of Swansea’s Country starlet ELERI and her brand new band! Dubbed "Kacey Musgraves meets London Grammar" by BBC6 Music, Eleri's unique blend of country, rock, and pop will transport you. Inspired by a US road trip at age 19 Eleri weaves traditional country storytelling with infectious melodies, creating a sound that's both familiar and utterly fresh. Having visited musical hotbeds like Greensboro, North Carolina and Nashville, as well as the shining lights of Chicago and New York . With nearly 1 million streams and accolades from BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Wales, and BBC 6Music, Eleri has shared the stage with renowned artists like Macy Gray and performed at prestigious festivals such as Glastonbury and Country 2 Country.
Opening up for Eleri will be the amazing Erin Ponsonby and Sophie Rose!
Erin Ponsonby
Erin Ponsonby is being recognised as one of Glasgow's emerging country artists and has been paving her way onto the UK country scene since the release of her debut EP ‘Little Town’ in 2020. Most recently, Erin has played at some of the UK country music scene's most iconic festivals such as Country to Country in the Glasgow Hydro, Country on the Clyde, the Buck N Bull Summer of Country Festival in London and the King Tuts Summer Nights Festival. In May, Erin and her band supported The Luke Combs Experience to a sold out crowd in Glasgow, and with an overwhelming response from fans, they have been asked to join them on two extra dates of their UK tour in November. With her name becoming more known within the industry through headline shows and supporting fellow country artists, Erin's country-pop style is reaching audiences across Glasgow and beyond, and she is excited to be releasing her next single 'Cowboy King' very soon!
Sophie Rose
Sophie Rose is a storyteller with one hell of a story. Born and raised in the South West, Sophie’s unmistakably raw vocal and honest songwriting bring tales of overcoming, healing and strength. Sophie’s debut single ‘Healing in the Burn’ hit the #1 spot on the iTunes UK Country charts, shortly followed by showcasing her EP ‘To the Core’ at the O2 Academy Bristol. In an interview on BBC Introducing Oxford, Sophie discussed the messaging behind her music, relaying the importance to her of kindness and ‘paying it forward’.
